Demonstrations

I am happy to provide a demonstration (anywhere reasonably local) of my oil painting techniques, including the tricks with colour when painting wet into wet.

My current rate is £85 for an evening (typically a couple of hours).  If you would like me to give you a demonstration please contact me to discuss requirements.

Commissions

My work extends to all corners of the country, but its a big place and I can't paint everything.  If there is a scene you would like me to paint, and you have suitable reference material, I can paint it for you as a commission.  My charges depend on the size and complexity of the painting required.  Some guide prices are given below.  Please note these are without frame, as I normally leave that to you.

Small Group Tuition

I can't promise you'll paint like me, but I can help you get started in painting with oils (or pastels) so you can develop your own style.  I can give tuition to 1-3 people at my home, or a few more elsewhere

IT Help For Artists And Crafts People

Having been a software developer for several decades I have much experience of working with IT, and can help you get your website up and running, add a shop or mailing list, and more.  Most people offering this kind of service will rustle up a website and leave you reliant on them for every time you want to update it.  I work differently, taking you through steps so you learn how to update the website yourself.  This may sound daunting, but with modern software you don't need to be a rocket scientist to do this (not that it helps to be one).

I charge £100 for a day's work - which should be enough to get you up and running with a modest website with the key pages in place (more if you prepare text and images in advance).  I'm on hand after that too to answer any enquiries you have.  If you would like me to help you with IT, please contact me to discuss requirements.
